SMART Temps Sites & Equipment
27 Schools, 62 SMART Guards, 30 SMART Shields
Why did you buy the SMART Temps program?
With concern about food safety and school lawsuits becoming more frequent, we were looking for a way to ensure hat our students were always protected and that we could provide solid information to that effect. I have been doing business with SMART Systems for years and I knew I could trust and depend on them. I decided to take advantage of the free 30-day trial offer and put it into one school to see how it could help.
How has it helped you with compliance issues?
One of the best things about the system is that I can check my equipment from any computer, anywhere. I don’t have to have a special website or web portal created and, therefore, don’t make more work for my IT department. Reports and information are available at my fingertips and can be accessed anytime, anywhere.
What part of the program has been most valuable to you?
In our weather conditions – especially in the winter – we have to do weekly checks of the freezers and refrigerators often. This is the most expensive part of the checks because of the time involved. With SMART Temps, this cost can be virtually eliminated because I always have real-time access to the temperatures and, therefore, know that everything is working properly. It’s a huge cost savings right from the start.
How has SMART Temps saved you time, money, and improved product safety?
After the 30-day trial period, we implemented the SMART Temps system within all 27 Vigo County Schools. I saw the return on investment immediately. After implementing the system, my supervisor told me how glad he was that we made the decision to put SMART Temps in the schools. We couldn’t be happier.
“We saw the return on investment immediately.”
